Summer means one thing here at T(M)TAOL – it’s time to get high! Rest assured the feisty Carolina Dog is busy doing just that in some fantastic places! The Most High Exalted Dingo of the Arctic Sisterhood is now on her way N, already on her 2nd Summer of 2023 Dingo Vacation after getting off to a fabulous start in Colorado and New Mexico.
Lupe visited not only Wheeler Peak (13,161 ft), highest in New Mexico, but also made it to the top of 5 of the 10 highest peaks she’s ever climbed in Colorado, including 2 fourteeners!
Along the way, Lupe encountered fog, wind, rain, and snow. She sought shelter from mini-blizzards and thunderstorms, crossed snow bridges, forded streams, and met some incredible people doing amazing things.
With all that excitement in Colorado and New Mexico, just think what we might run into in Canada and Alaska, SPHP!
Oh, I know it, Loopster! We better be ready for most anything!
The (Mostly) True Adventures of Lupe will resume regular publication with tales of all new wilderness adventures sometime this coming fall. Until then, Lupe and SPHP wish you a grand time getting and staying high during the Summer of 2023, too!

Lupe, we can’t wait to hear more about your Summer of 2023 adventures!
Hi, Poppy & HV!
I had an awesome summer, from New Mexico to the Arctic Ocean and can’t wait to tell you about it! Unfortunately, shortly after SPHP and I got back from my Summer of 2023 Dingo Vacations, 2 crises developed that have prevented SPHP from writing any new posts.
First, the company providing hosting services for my blog suddenly announced a change of policy. They will no longer provide the same services we’ve enjoyed for over 8.5 years without substantial technical changes and price increases. If these technical changes cannot be made, or a move to a different hosting company achieved within a specified time period, The (Mostly) True Adventures of Lupe site will be lost in its entirety, and no longer available on the internet.
Naturally, SPHP began work right away on a possible solution, but before it could be fully implemented, the second crisis hit. Grandma fell. No broken bones, but she became very sick. SPHP and I have been caring for Grandma in our home nearly all day every day ever since. SPHP has scarcely had time to even glance at T(M)TAOL every now and then to make sure the site is still up. There hasn’t been any time to work on the technical issues or write anything new.
Happily, Grandma is getting better! She’s recovering from her illness, but no longer as strong as she was before. On Monday, October 12th, we helped her move into an assisted living facility where she will have the professional care she needs on a continuing basis. It’s a transition process. SPHP is still busy cleaning up Grandma’s old apartment and taking care of other tasks related to the move. I visit Grandma every day to keep her cheered up! If she continues to feel better, by early next week SPHP hopes to get back to working on the technical issue crisis.
We sincerely regret the already months long delay in new adventures. It is absolutely SPHP’s intention to find a solution to the technical/hosting issues and resume regularly scheduled publication as soon as possible. However, while we’re hopeful, right now the future of The (Mostly) True Adventures of Lupe remains uncertain.
Hope you had a great Summer of 2023, too, Poppy & HV! Many thanks to you and everyone else for your patience while SPHP and I try to get our act together again!
