Photo looks SSE.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>0.33 mile from the trailhead, Loopster reached a saddle where the trail crossed Victoria Lake Road <em>(USFS Road No. 159)<\/em>.\u00a0 Abandoning the trail, Lupe took the road NE.\u00a0 It soon curved SE, and reached a high point.<\/p>\n<p><em>OK, Loop!\u00a0 We&#8217;re pretty close already.\u00a0 All we have to do is climb the ridge N of us.
