No. 89<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Lupe was back!\u00a0\u00a0 For the second week in a row, she was starting her day&#8217;s adventures at the Spring Creek trailhead of Centennial Trail No. 89.\u00a0 Last week she had gone all the way N to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/peakbagger.com\/peak.aspx?pid=60375\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Twin Sisters<\/span><\/a> (5,244 ft.)<\/strong><\/span> and the Brush Creek trailhead.\u00a0 This time around, she was going to explore <a href=\"https:\/\/gfp.sd.gov\/userdocs\/centennial-trail-brochure.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Centennial Trail No. 89<\/strong><\/span><\/a> all the way S to the Samelius Peak trailhead.<\/p>\n<p>Like last week, the first order of business was to follow the spur trail from the trailhead up Spring Creek.\u00a0 The spur trail would join the main trail at the Sheridan Lake dam.\u00a0 The Carolina Dog didn&#8217;t mind repeating this easy, scenic stroll at all.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15937\" id=\"caption-attachment-15938\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Spring Creek canyon on the way to Sheridan Lake.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Shortly after crossing the first of three beam bridges over Spring Creek, Lupe heard a rush of water over and above the usual noise made by the creek.\u00a0 She soon came to the source of this noise.\u00a0 A tremendous waterfall was sending a spray of water not only down into Spring Creek, but even raining down upon the opposite shore.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15939\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15939\" style=\"width: 660px\"
