June!\u00a0 Summertime, but for weeks not a darn thing was happening.\u00a0 It wasn’t until late in the month that a logjam of other duties finally broke.\u00a0 Suddenly, Lupe was on the road to adventure again on the first of not one, but two Dingo Vacations to the fabulous Bighorn Mountains of north central Wyoming!<\/p>\n

The action began before the Carolina Dog even made it to the Bighorns with special permission for an ascent of remote North Pumpkin Butte, the Campbell County, Wyoming high point.\u00a0 Following that success, Lupe went high, visiting an assortment 10,000+ foot peaks in the Powder River Pass region of the southern Bighorns.\u00a0 Her first Dingo Vacation wound up with a stop at roaring Shell Falls, and ascents of several fun summits farther N.<\/p>\n

By the 2nd half of July, the American Dingo was back for a second round of Bighorns action – a short, but intense, 3.5 day backpacking trip to Loaf Mountain and Bighorn Peak, the two highest mountains Lupe would climb in 2019.<\/p>\n
